It takes a child to raise a village
Our students come from underprivileged backgrounds across South Africa, but it's only economics holding them back from becoming the future leaders of their nation. CIDA is about enabling them to realise their potential. We set up CIDA to offer them a chance, with the first virtually free higher education institution. The students are required to "pay" part of their tuition by going back to communities to educate their peers. This raises the level of skills in hundreds of villages. We're not your average university; we're more than that. We've created the potential to transform the future of Africa, with a community-funded university, run with support from our donors and partners. We receive time, goods, and scholarships from individuals and companies who want to make a difference.
